exponential technological growth is a function of globalization related to the speed of heterogeneous idea exchange. the pace of moore’s law is a function of the evolution of ideas in society; once we reach peak heterogeneity (entropy), progress stabilizes (maybe x’ of exponential graph, so linear). but there is a feedback between technological progress and spread of ideas (they make each other faster) so we’re actually going faster and faster toward that stability point
